TGIF - it's time for the weekend round up of what to read, watch and eat this weekend, because there is nothing quite like living La Belle Vie in your own home, relaxing with family, friends or solo. Just don't get lost in the pumpkin patch and miss the Great Pumpkin.
So kick back, smile wide and enjoy your time!
This weekend we're featuring I do, with a warm sandwich and a side of blackbird pie. Read on to see how we pull it all together...
Read - For something suitable Southern Gothic, check out Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe: A Novel by Heather Webber. Anna Kate returns to her small southern town her mother ran away from years ago. Despite being determined to finish the business of burying her grandmother as quickly as possible, she finds herself drawn to the quirky town and mysterious blackbird everyone can't seem to stop talking about.
As she learns more about the past, Anna Kate will have to decide where her future lies.
Looking for something on the lighter side? Always dreamed of a destination wedding? Check out Susan Mallery's You say it First, Book 1 in Happily Inc, a series about a wedding destination town where everything is supposed to be fairy tale perfect.
Watch - Why go out to the movies when you can stay in? The popcorn is free, the bathroom is clean (we hope) and your favorite furry friend is most welcome.
Thriller/Mystery Pick- In the mood for a crime/thriller? Check out Serenity featuring Mathew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. MCConaughey is a fisherman who gets roped into a plot to kill his ex-wife's (Hathaway) husband for a $10 million payday.
Rom-Com - Look no further than The Big Sick based on the screenwriter's real life story. Featuring a "forbidden" love story, this movie tries to see if love can cover disparate cultures, parental disapproval and a coma.
Classic Rewind Try To Catch a Thief, featuring Cary Grant (hubba hubba) and Grace Kelly. Grant is a "reformed" jewel thief living out his retirement on the French Riviera. Grace Kelly is the American heiress who may or may not be his next mark.
With the (Little) Kids - It's that time of year - It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will have you wiping away a tear or two of sentimentality with your favorite blankie.
Eat - Did someone say panini? They should because this re-do of the classic Italian sub, hoagie or grinder swaps out the roll for delicious artisanal bread and the panini press treatment. Don't have a panini press? Check out our favorite right here - The Cusinart 5-in-1 Panini Press AND get the Ciao Bella Italiano Panini Recipe here
