The Weekend Round Up - Friday the 13th edition

Welcome to the Friday the 13th edition of The weekend round up. Use FRIDAY13 to get 13% off any items in our store, like our cute book lover's mugs or t-shirts

What to Read: If you haven't head by now,  Margaret Atwood has (finally) released the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale, titled The Testaments. The book was under (literal) lock and key before its release date this week but somehow Amazon shipped a few copies early. Oops.

Literary dystopian novels not your thing? You might want to check out Gregg Olson's Lying Next to Me., which is currently burning up the Amazon charts. In the book, a family heads to the mountains to relax and recharge, when the wife suddenly disappears right before the husband's eyes. Enter in the friendly cop who finds out still waters run deep and secrets abound.

If you are into the futuristic detective genre check out Queen Nora's alternate reality, the In Death series (written under the pseudonym J.D. Robb). Vendetta in Death is the #400 billion entry (jk) in the In Death series (ok, it's #49!).

Watch - Downton Abbey is back!!!!. The MOVIE officially comes out on September 20th, but you can catch up on all of the episodes on Amazon Prime Video.

All caught up, but can't get enough of the upper crust? Check out Gosford Park, a not so old classic country house weekend who-dun it!

Eat  - Nothing says fall like this spicy chili recipe. Throw all the ingredients together in a slow cooker or crockpot and you can be out and about doing other things like apple picking or reading!
